This is an infrared LED that emits light primarily in the 940nm wavelength. This version must be electrically isolated from the ground/pill of your flashlight or whatever device you install it in! The OSLON 4725S' thermal pad and anode are electrically connected; this means that when used with a direct-thermal-path MCPCB such as the Noctigon, if you have electrical conductivity between the MCPCB and the flashlight pill you will create a dead short, which will immediately kill the LED. You can electrically isolate using a thin layer of Arctic Alumina thermal epoxy or a silicone/fiberglass thermal pad in combination with the thermal epoxy (recommended configuration). ALWAYS check for electrical conductivity between ground/pill and LED+/BATT+ before powering!
Depending on the mode of operation, these devices
emit highly concentrated non visible infrared light
which can be hazardous to the human eye.
