This low-resistance MOSFET is used to build the SRK FET driver. Very low on resistance at low gate voltage levels and ultra low gate charge make this ideal for driving directly from a low voltage source, like we do with our flashlight drivers.
This is a replacement for the Vishay 70N02, which is no longer in production. I tested dozens of different MOSFETs beginning May 2014 searching for the best replacement for the 70N02, taking into account performance and value. I feel that this FET hits sweet spot and in some ways outperforms the venerable 70N02.
